All piercings and tattoos performed at Love and Ink are subject to age restrictions. This is outlined on our price list as well as on our booking system. If you do not meet the necessary age requirements with relevant photo ID at the time of your appointment, your piercing or tattoo fee will be retained by Love and Ink and will not be refunded or reassigned to another booking.
We require a physical, original government photo ID (eg. passport, driving license, citizen card) to be shown at your appointment. Failure to provide the relevant documentation will result in no service and your piercing or tattoo will not be refunded. You will be required to rebook your appointment. For children's lobe piercings, a parent or legal guardian must be present at all times. We will require government photo ID from the parent and child. In the case of legal guardians, we will require proof of guardianship as well as government photo ID. We do NOT pierce children under the age of 8 years old.
All piercings and tattoos are anatomy dependent. In most cases, your anatomy will be assessed at your piercing/tattoo appointment. HOWEVER - some piercings, such as intimate and large gauge piercings, require an in-person consultation prior to booking the piercing. We strongly recommend checking whether your desired piercing requires a consultation beforehand. Booking your piercing or tattoo without the necessary consultation may result in loss of your piercing/tattoo fee and you will be required to rebook.
When booking you will be required to pay the piercing/tattoo fee in order to secure your appointment. This fee does not include the price of any jewellery and is non-refundable. Jewellery prices start at £25-£35 for basic implant-grade titanium jewellery and this is payable at your appointment. Failure to attend your appointment will result in your piercing/tattoo fee being retained by Love and Ink and you will be required to rebook and pay the piercing fee again.
Jewellery for your piercing is chosen and paid for at your appointment. For health and safety reasons, we cannot pierce you with jewellery purchased elsewhere (eg. online or another piercing studio). This is to ensure we are upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for you as a client. At Love and Ink we carry a wide range of high-end body jewellery with something for every budget. Our basic jewellery is implant grade ASTM F136 titanium and starts at £25-£35 per piece.
Written aftercare is provided for all piercings and is available here for your reference. Verbal aftercare will be provided to you at your appointment as well as the opportunity to purchase the recommended aftercare solution. Your piercer will discuss any and all questions and concerns with you at your appointment and will be available for the duration of your healing journey. If in doubt, ask us - we are always here to help. Our piercers are happy to provide advice on your piercing even if it was not performed at Love and Ink - we recommend booking in for a 'check-up' appointment in this instance.
While we do accept walk-ins, priority will always be given to appointments that have been booked in advance. We cannot guarantee the availability of your desired service when walking in, as some piercings/tattoos require an in-person consultation beforehand. To avoid any disappointment, and to ensure we can provide you with the correct service, we strongly recommend booking.
